2024 Fulltime Families Red River Gorge Dia de los Muertos Hangout
October 27 to November 3, 2024

Join us for a week of learning and experiencing Dia de los Muertos – Day of the Dead!

Together we will create a Dia de los Muertos altar, to honor and remember those loved ones who have passed away. Get our faces painted, and have a parade.

We will also experience some Halloween traditions like pumpkin painting and carving, a hay ride, and trick or treating.

We can’t have a hangout in the Red River Gorge without exploring the local area. We will have a family hike where we will see the natural arches that are well known in this area.

As with all Fulltime Families hangouts we will experience a Dad’s excursion and Mom’s excursion. These events will be on separate days, so dad’s and mom’s will take turns managing the kids!

Another tradition at all Firefly Hills hosted hangouts is our massage therapist who offers massages for those interested. (This is at an additional cost). And our service project.

We will round out our week with a Murder Mystery Dinner and a friendly pickleball tournament! Feel free to bring a 1920’s costume!

We will have other kid, tween/teen, and family activities sprinkled throughout the week.

Other activities you can enjoy on your own at the park; fishing the stocked pond, kayaking the Kentucky River, helping care for the chickens or garden and enjoy the food they produce.

You can dry camp at a rate of $15/day and will be paid directly to the campground upon arrival.  There will be a limited amount of FHU sites.  If you require a full-hookup site, please reach out to us first to check availability at [email protected]  

It will be possible to arrive earlier or stay longer than the hangout.

Dad’s & Mom’s Night’s Out

Dad’s & Mom’s will have a chance to escape from the kids and enjoy a night amongst themslves!

The hangout group size will be small, so don’t delay getting tickets if your family is interested!

The campground rates are from $15/day and will be paid directly to the campground.

This is a dry camping event, however, water and a dump station are available on-site.  There are also a limited amount of full hook-up sites.  If you require FHU, please reach out to us to check availability at [email protected]

GENERAL WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT 1. In consideration for participation in the above mentioned Fulltime Families event, I hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Fulltime Families, LLC, their officers, agents, or employees (hereinafter referred to as RELEASEES) from any and all liability, claims, demands, action and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or my family (hereinafter referred to as ATTENDEES), or to any property belonging to ATTENDEES, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, or otherwise, while participating in such activity, or while in, on or upon the premises where the activity is being conducted. 2. I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in said activity, and to enter the above-named premises and engage in such activity knowing that certain risk of harm is or may be inherent in the various activities contemplated herein and that the activity may be hazardous to me and my property. I VOLUNTARILY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISKS OF LOSS, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR PERSONAL INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of being engaged in such an activity, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES or otherwise. 3. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; I knowingly and freely assume all such risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, even if arising from the negligence or fault of the RELEASEES. 3. I further hereby AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the RELEASEES from any loss, liability, damage or costs, including court cost and attorney's fees, that they may incur due to my participation in said activity, WHETHER CAUSED BY OR CONTRIBUTED TO IN WHOLE OR PART by any action or failure to act, negligence, breach of contract, or other misconduct on the part of RELEASEES or otherwise. 4. It is my express intent that this Release and Hold Harmless Agreement shall bind the members of my family and spouse, if I am alive, and my heirs, assigns and personal representative, if I am deceased, and shall be deemed as a RELEASE, WAIVER, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the above named RELEASEES. I hereby further agree that this Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota (LLC State of Record) and the rally location. IN SIGNING THIS RELEASE, I ACKNOWLEDGE AND REPRESENT THAT I have read the foregoing Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement, understand it and sign it voluntarily as my own free act and deed; no oral representations, statements, or inducements, apart from the foregoing written agreement, have been made; I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent; and I execute the Release For full, adequate, and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by same.

Fulltime Families Code of Conduct

Purpose:

We believe that the Fulltime Families community should be open for all families. We are committed to providing a family friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who chooses to join, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or sexual orientation.

This formal code of conduct explains our expectations for behavior of all participants, minors included, and also explains consequences for any unacceptable behavior exhibited. This behavior is expected toward all hosts, participants, leadership, campground employees or volunteers, and anyone else that you come in contact with during the duration of any type of Fulltime Families event, community gathering, or member activity.

Expected Behavior:

1. Be kind, considerate, and respectful.

2. Refrain from all discriminatory, harassing, and demeaning actions and speech.

Unacceptable Behavior:

1. Harassment, physical, mental, or emotional abuse, intimidation, using derogatory or demeaning materials or conduct.

2. Harassment includes but is not limited to: offensive comments (written or verbal) related to ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or sexual orientation; intentional intimidation, stalking, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

3. Any physical abuse, including pushing, shoving, or use of any amount of physical force against a person.

4. Creating a disturbance that causes apprehension in a person.

5. Any boisterous or offensive language, including threats, profanity, or racial, religious, or ethnic slurs.

6. Assembling for the purpose of disturbing the peace or engaging in any behavior listed above.

7. Breaking listed rules of the venue or campground in which an event, community gathering, or activity takes place.

Consequences for Unacceptable Behavior:

Unacceptable behavior WILL NOT be tolerated in any form by adults or minors as this is a family friendly community. Anyone, adult or minor, that is asked to stop exhibiting unacceptable behavior will be expected to do so immediately. If a member continues to exhibit unacceptable behavior or the organizers feel that the first offense is severe, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate such as removal, suspension, or membership revocation. All of these will be done without refund.

Booking information will be sent via email with your ticket confirmation, so please make sure to check your email (and spam folder). Site cost will be $15/day and will be paid directly to the campground upon arrival.

What are the cancellation policies for this event?

Hangout Fee Refunds:

• Cancel before 8/28/24 to receive a full refund minus a $35 cancellation fee.
• Cancel between 8/28/24–9/28/24 for a 50% refund.
• Cancellations after 9/28/24 will not be refunded.
• Campsite cancellations and potential refunds will be handled by the campground and not FTF.
