As adults, we must clean up and take care of our homes. Learning these life skills starts at a young age. That’s why the Fulltime Families Explorers used the month of January to focus on come home care by learning how to complete chores necessary to the care and keeping of their RVs.

Kids Life Skills

Wyatt helped wipe the table and Sammy took out the trash.

What We Did

Throughout the month of January, the Explorers made a point of finding ways to help out around their homes. Some kids jumped in to take care of the dishes on a daily basis, while others took out the trash, took care of bedroom clean up or took care of the floors. Those who had regular chores in place already decided to take on extra work around the RV, and one young boy even learned how to dump and flush out the holding tanks.

Teaching Home Care

Zadok learned all about cleaning the tanks.

What We Learned

One goal of the Explorers program is to help kids acquire new life skills. This month’s project helped the Explorers see just how important housekeeping actually is, and how their contributions to the care of their home really do make a difference. We hope that by introducing these skills now, these kids will feel confident in their abilities as young adults.

Extracurriculars While RVing

Finleigh and Norah both chose to help with dish duty.
