Emotional wellness is oh so important. This is especially true in our world full of stress and anxiety. For this reason, the Fulltime Families Explorers spent the month of April learning all about emotional wellness. What We Did
Throughout the month of April, the Explorers talked, read, and watched videos on how to identify their emotions. They found new emotional management techniques, participated in meditation and yoga sessions, and discovered new ways to express their emotions.
To earn their Emotional Wellness pins, participants sent in videos and photos of themselves, along with the various activities they selected to learn about topics like emotion identification, management, and expression.
What We Learned
The Explorers program hopes to help kids learn skills they can carry with them and use their entire lives. This month’s project helped the Explorers learn the importance of recognizing their emotions, expressing themselves, and reducing and releasing negative emotions. It also helped them learn the skills needed to do these things.
