Friends are one of the very best things about life. That’s why the Fulltime Families Explorers used the month of February to focus on friendship by making new friends, tending to old friendships, and learning what friendship is all about.

Scouting

Explorers played and did projects with friends. They also read about friendship.

What We Did

Throughout the month of February, the Explorers made a point of connecting with others. Some kids made a point of meeting up with friends made in months prior, while others went out of their way to find new friends along their path.

Participants watched TV shows and read books about friendship, created videos about friendship, journaled and drew pictures about their friendships, and wrote letters to friends.

What We Learned

One goal of the Explorers program is to help kids make meaningful connections with others. This month’s project helped the Explorers understand how important friendship is, why they should work to maintain friendships, and how they might go about doing that.

Explorers wrote letters to friends and wrote about their friendships in journals.
